The three odds formats
- Decimal (e.g. 2.50) — the UK/EU online standard. Your total return per £1 staked, stake included.
- Fractional (e.g. 6/4) — traditional UK format. Profit relative to stake: 6/4 returns £6 profit per £4 staked.
- American / moneyline (e.g. +150 / −200) — US format. Positive = profit on a 100 stake (underdog); negative = stake to win 100 (favourite).

Frequently asked questions
- How do I convert decimal odds to fractional?
- Subtract 1 and write it as a fraction: 2.50 − 1 = 1.5 = 3/2 (6/4); 2.00 − 1 = 1/1 (evens).
- What are American (moneyline) odds?
- Profit relative to a 100 stake. +150 = £150 profit per £100 (underdog); −200 = stake £200 to win £100 (favourite). +100 is evens.
- What is implied probability?
- The break-even chance the odds represent: 100 ÷ decimal odds. Bookmaker margin means the true chance is a little lower than the implied figure.
